Spooktacular Canadian Travel Tournament

Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30

1. This tournament is optional for all 10u, 12u, and 14u Teams. This is a really fun tournament and everyone is encouraged to attend.

  • Athletes 6th grade and younger (12u and 10u athletes) are expected to travel and stay with their parents during the tournament.​​​​​
  • 14u team members are encouraged to travel and stay with their team.

Estimated Costs (costs may be adjusted depending on the number of athletes registered by October 15th):

  • $375 for 14u traveling/staying with team. Covers tournament fees, coaching fees, coaches travel, van rentals from Mercer Island, hotel, and team meal plan (lunch and dinner).
  • $250 for 12u and 10u athletes traveling/staying with parents. Covers tournament fees, coaching fees, and coaches travel.

2. Please verify your athlete can meet all Canadian entry requirements prior to registering:
 

Vaccination Requirements: All Vaccine Restrictions for Entry into Canada have ended.  At this time, only non-U.S. individuals must be fully vaccinated to return to the U.S. from Canada. This does not apply to U.S. Citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents, or U.S. Nationals. Please visit DHS.gov for more information about returning to U.S. from Canada.

 

  • It is now optional for athletes and parents to upload proof of vaccination and health status into ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada. The Canadian government advises that using  ArriveCan will speed entry at border crossings. 
  • All 14u athletes traveling in the team van should enter their information into ArriveCan and travel with their ArriveCan receipt.

Travel Documents Required for 14u Athletes Traveling on Team Van:

  • Proof of US Citizenship -  copy or original birth certificate (bring ID like school or water polo), passport, or naturalization certificate.
  • All 14u players taking the team van must travel with a letter of Authorization: signed by both parents or legal guardian that includes 1) the parents' address and telephone number, and 2) the name, address, and telephone number of the adult who will look after the child in Canada. Please use the following information for the adult who will look after the child in Canada:

4. The 14u team vans will leave on Friday, October 28, around midday from the Mercer Island Park and Ride for travel to British Columbia. 

 

5. Tournament games are likely to begin Saturday morning, October 29 and end midafternoon, Sunday, October 30th.
